Imagine being woken up by your bed shaking to the point of no control or sitting in traffic while the earth shook beneath you and cars came crashing into yours, can you imagine that? Or better yet what about a massive wave coming straight towards you and you had not where to take refuge. Well, the people of Japan didn't have to imagine that, because last Friday the movie "Hereafter" came to life--taking an entire town off the map.
Friday morning's news of a massive 8.9 earthquake and tsunami that rocked the island of Japan took everyone back to 2010 and the unbelievable earthquake that took so many lives in Haiti. It seems like a world away to us here in the U.S and we may not take it to heart because it is so far away. However, to those Japanese who have lost everything they know, they are counting on the international community to come to their rescue.
Few survivors have been found, but families continue to search for their sons, daughters, wives, husbands and friends. Threats of a nuclear reactor meltdown and resulting disaster loom.
