Asma Al-Assad: Call for peace in Syria
Friday, April 20, 2012
Asma Al-Assad, Where are you?
It's been more than a year and the non-violent protest morphed in civil war is yet to end, although a ceasefire is in full effect. Bahar Al-Assad has continuously lied to the world and his own people about the future of Syria, but there is another Al-Assad we need to look at and question why she is not doing anything to save here people. Syria's first lady Asma Al-Assad has yet to voice her opinions on the violence taking her county by storm. The British born, trophy wife of Bashar Al- Assad is doing nothing to protect her people and we are all wondering: Where are you, Asma? your people need you and if you don't step up, more and more women and children will lose their lives.

{Photos} Syria: A year long Civil War
Thursday, April 12, 2012
More than a year ago, the Arab Spring commenced and since then the Syrian people have been fighting for change, but after a year long of fighting--that change has not come and will most likely not ever come for the Syrian people. Today, after failing to meet the UN Peace deadline of April 10th, 2012, Bashir Al-Assad has agreed to to comply with Kofi Annan's ceasefire, that formally came into effect at 06:00 (03:00 GMT) on Thursday morning.

Syria Open to Cease Fire?

Bashar Al-Assad and wife Asmaa Al-Assad
It’s been a year since protest in Syria started and as time moved on, that once nonviolent protest turned into Genocide, as President Al-Assad did not want to be defy. It’s been said, that Bashar Al-Assad may have cheated on his wife, but he has been raping Syria for the better of part of 10 years. Now with the United Arab league and other international organizations heavily involved and demanding this mass murder at the hands of the Syrian government --stop, it seems that Al-Assad just may be ready to meet them half way, but don’t get too excited, there is a catch to his sudden compromise.

Twenty Elections that could change the World in 2012
Sunday, January 1, 2012
It's not just Barack Obama and the upcoming elections that can change the world as we know it this year, there are 19 other very important elections, that can be either--a good thing or in some cases-- a bad thing. If there is one thing we know, it's when power is given to the wrong person or party, an entire nation and it's people will suffer. It is why elections are so very important to society--making sure that the people and their needs are met first, making sure the right person gets into office.
In 2011, we saw citizens take to the streets demanding change, overthrowing long standing leaders and thier regimes. It was a year of "enough is enough". From Tunisia's Bin Ali, Egypt's Mubarak and Libya's Gadafi, 2011 proved to be a year that changed the world as we know it. However, it is 2012, that will stand out in history, as 20 countries around the world will undergo a leadership transition. Four of those countries being permananent members of the U.N Security Council- the United States, Russia, China and France. Third world countries will have national, state or local elecctions and we will finally see the Arab Spring counrties putting thier democracies to work.

Reality TV: 'All-American Muslim'
Thursday, November 17, 2011
If you missed this past Sunday's "All-American Muslim", then I suggest you write a note to remember this Sunday. TLC's new reality show featuring American Muslims is anything but traditional, it is conventional and modern and we all get to see what life is like for an American Muslim.
The eight-part series is the first show on American television that depicts the lives of Muslim Americans, a community that has been in the spotlight for the past decade, but often misunderstood.
