Caroline Kennedy, Senator?

It is official, Caroline Kennedy has tossed her hat in for the New York senate seat. If she or anyone else she gets it, they will be replacing Senator Hillary Clinton, as she is taking on the role of Secretary of State, under the Obama administration.

But is Caroline Kennedy qualified for this job? Most people say no, she hasn't done enough for New York to want that position. But she could get it because of her name, who her father was, her uncle was. Don't get me wrong, I love the Kennedy's and the story of Camelot, but at this point in US history, New York of all places needs someone who can do things, who have the experience. It is said she is a wall flower, she blends in, New York needs someone who will step out and stand outside the box, go head first, Caroline Kennedy is not that. New York sees her as the 5th Ave girl.

But as Governor Patterson deals with SNL, he also has to make a decision on who will be replacing Hillary Clinton. He, too was never elected, he took office after the Elliot Spitzer scandal and so he needs to make the right choice, he needs someone to represent them in Washington.
