Thanksgiving first started in 1619 in Virgina, but it didn't become a tradition, due to some unfortunate events. Then in 1621 it was celebrated at the Plymouth Plantation. It was at this harvest that marked the "first thanksgiving". The first Thanksgiving was celebrated to give thanks to God for helping the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony survive the brutal winter. The first Thanksgiving feast lasted three days providing enough food for 53 pilgrims and 90 Indians.

So this Thanksgiving, I hope you give thanks for all your bleesings. From my family to yours, Have a Happy Turkey Day :)
