Texas Tech Head Coach Fired

Mike Leach has been "terminated with cause effective immediately" today. The head coach at Texas Tech was suspended Monday after a player accused him of unfair treatment while injured.

Receiver Adam James alleges Leach confined him to small, dark spaces during practice after the player was diagnosed with a concussion.The university handed Leach's attorney the letter today before both parties were to meet in court about the coach's suspension.
Leach was fired before Dec.31st, meaning there will be no $800,000 bonus for him. It seems that, if Leach had stayed on as coach until New Years Day, the university would have given him that large bonus.
